What we collect, and why.
This site has one form and no tracking. This page describes exactly what happens to the information you send us.

Who we are

What the contact form collects
The form on the home page is the only place this site asks you for anything. It collects:

We use this only to reply to you and to discuss the project you contacted us about. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Where it goes
When you submit the form it is sent to a function running on our hosting provider, which composes an email and delivers it to our inbox. In order, the information passes through:

The submission is not written to any database. The only lasting copies are the emails in the studio's mailboxes: the shared address, and a direct copy to the person who answers enquiries.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, and no third-party script that profiles you. Nothing is stored in your browser.
Fonts
The typefaces on this site (Space Grotesk, Space Mono and Instrument Serif) are served from this domain, not from Google Fonts. Loading a page therefore makes no request to any third-party font host, and your IP address is not disclosed to one.
Spam protection
The form includes a hidden field that real visitors never see and a check on how quickly it was submitted. Both exist to reject automated submissions. We also limit how many submissions one network address can make in a minute. No third-party CAPTCHA is used and nothing about you is sent to a bot-detection vendor.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for [TO CONFIRM: RETENTION PERIOD], after which they are deleted unless they have become part of a client relationship, in which case they are retained under our normal client records policy. Hosting logs are kept for as long as our providers retain them by default.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Email hello@violacreative.com and we will action it.
