Venture underwriting runs on workbooks. A cap table lives in one file, a waterfall in another. A returns view gets forked from a version someone emailed round. The memo states a number; the model that produced it has since moved twice. Evidence sits in a data room, the argument in a thread, the maths in Excel, and none of the three points at the other two. Generative AI arrived late and mostly added a fourth place for an unsourced number to appear.

Veia is an agentic underwriting operating system for venture investment teams. A single financing is held as one connected state: evidence, cap table, ownership, waterfall, gross returns. That is why the Agent, the cap-structure graph, the dashboard, the operating statement and the library all open onto the same workspace. A board carries the rest of the portfolio alongside it. Firms bring their own logic through Model Builder, the Agent or an SDK, and the model computes while the fund still decides.

The design idea is that the page should behave like the product's claim: nothing asserted without what supports it. Running text is Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a face drawn for legibility rather than fashion. Inconsolata carries labels, figures and metadata, so a person's argument and a machine's arithmetic never wear the same clothes. One teal signal sits against hairlines, in light and in dark. Screens run on a synthetic fund, labelled synthetic. The nav (System, Proof, Model, Integrations, Deployment, Control) is the argument in order.
